A note on the verso reads, ""Mr. J.C. Martin, pictured at the right, was teacher and principal at the school. Mrs. Annie Ratliff, donor of this photograph, is at the left of the top row. Original photograph: Greenville County Library, South Carolina Room Archives. Schools, photo no. 63. Note attached to sleeve gives names of three of the subjects and identifies the group as the first faculty of the school. |
